High-Schoolers

Its 3:30 and I'm ready. My senses become more alert and I feel a little boost in the adrenaline. I'm waiting and watching. Then they come. Sometimes alone, sometimes in large groups. Some nerdy, some prepped out, some jocks, some punk, some normal; the common bond, all are highschoolers. You might ask, "so whats the big deal?" I'll tell you what the big deal is, they steal.

Just the other day I was watching the front door as they came in. The one in front clean, the second, third, and fourth suspects clean; but the last one was carrying a chick-fil-a cup. I took a mental note, then watched and waited. He walked around for awhile then sat down at a table with his friends. After feeling comfortable enough, thinking he had been in the store long enough to grab some cover, he made his way to the front counter. I greeted him and asked what I could do for him. He wanted a refill (at chick-fil-a you get free refills) of coke. I looked at him for a second and the told him "alright, but that will be $1.37," he looked confused but I could sense he was a little uncomfortable (alot like a nervous doe who stomps her front hooves, all you hunters out there know what I'm talking about). Anyways, he didn't get his refill. Its always fun busting those punks.

The Pad

I've been under some serious pressure (Summer, Kendall, Boo and Mom) to post some pictures of my apartment. So I did some tidying up today to prep for the photo shoot.
The tour starts off with my bedroom, which is pretty sweet. Probly the coolest part of this room is the big fish pillow on my bed. This is a must have for any bedroom; you can purchase these at basspro.com, if you don't have one, get one. It will change your life. The next frame is my dresser, which, obviously, is where I keep all my clothes. Look closely and in the corner you will notice a Winchester model 70 30.06, another must have for any household. Next is a view of my closet and the Michigan state flag, that is not a must have, but its pretty cool. We move from there to my living room where you will notice my awesome entertainment center where I watch Sporscenter, Bassmaster and American hunting and that’s about it. I do have a little plant to the right of the tv, which I water about as often as I update my blog, so it’s a miracle the thing is still alive. The next shot of my living room is an excellent one. It really shows what great taste I have as you see the 8-point buck on the wall, which of course is another, must have. You will also see the couch I have received through the David Terhune relief foundation. If you have any questions about this foundation you can e-mail me, most donations are tax deductible (just so you know). We move from there to my dinning room. This is the lowest on the cool factor. Its just a table with a folding camping chair, like I said not too cool. The only redeeming part of the dinning room are the three pictures of my dog (giving to me by my sister Kendall for Christmas). Now when I sit down to eat some cereal its not completely depressing because I can see my dog. The next picture is the living room again, but from a different angle. Then we move to my chair area where you will see my fireplace and I'm embarrassed to say that I have not had a fire yet this year. If you look to the chair on the right you will see a green scarf. This is the most valuable item in my apartment. It was knitted for me by little sister. Having a little sister that loves me enough to knit me a scarf is extremely valuable which is why I protect it with the 30.06 in my bedroom. Above the fireplace you'll see a picture of Wrigley field, another must have, it brings back all the good times I had there while in school and I NEVER skipped class to go to a game. The last photo is my newest piece of decor. Bassproshops had a sale on fishing pole racks, I only have one rod in it now, but it’s going to look awesome when I stock it up with the rest of my fishing tackle. It also shows how tasteful I am and that I should have considered a career in interior decorating instead of selling chicken.
Well, that is where I live, I hope you all enjoyed the tour. In about a month I'll put up some more pictures so you can see what it usually looks like (without all the cleaning).
tight lines.

Resolution

Well, I am officially one of the world’s worst bloggers. I want you all to know that one of my new years resolutions is to get out of the business cycle of posting once every quarter, and to update my blog on a weekly basis.
The past few months have been good to me. I will let the pictures do the talking.

As you can see, aside from work I do three things fish, hunt and hang out with Jim. I was going to put up some pictures of my apartment, but I'm going to have to get some cleaning done before that happens, maybe next week.

We're Moooooving in

Chick-fil-A of Starr’s Mill had its grand-opening on October 26th. The day before the grand opening I arrived on site at 7:00 am to get the store ready to rumble. The first customer was already pitching his tent in the parking lot and settling in for the night. It may seem odd that we had people pulling into our parking lot 24 hours before we were scheduled to open. Let me explain, Chick-fl-a has something called the “first 100” which means the first 100 guests (at chick-fil-a we don’t have customers we have guests) get 52 coupons for any combo meal, which comes out to around $280.00. If you want to be one of the “first 100” you usually have to get to the store 24 hours before it even opens and be ready to stay for the night. I believe this is a genius way to grow the business and create sales. When people drive by our store and see our parking lot full of tents and a hundred some people outside throwing a football and hanging out in our parking lot it creates a huge buzz in the area. People see all the hype and stop by to find out what is going on and hopefully they’ll EAT MOR CHIKIN!!!!!

Mendosa's Wedding

This weekend my good friend, Luke Mertes (Mendosa), got married. He is survived by myself, Jim McCabe and Mike Kelley. We are last single guys in our group of friends. People are placing bets on which one of us will be the next to fall. That is part of bachelor life.

Inspired by Boo

Well, my two older sister's started these blog things some time ago and they were great. They were fun to read and an easy way to see what they have been up to or what they have been thinking about. This went on for awhile and then my little sister had to go and get her own blog and that left me out in the cold, I was blogless. So with the inspiriation of the Boo I have decided to start my own blog and see what happens.

As Dad always says, "more to follow."
